Biografie
Aleksandra Stoliarova is a contemporary dancer and choreographer from Yekaterinburg, Russia. From 2015-2023 she was a company member of the city’s based "Provincial Dances Theatre" under the artistic direction of Tatiana Baganova. The theater exists since 1990 and has won several Golden Masks - Russias most important award for performing arts. During her time as a member of the company Aleksandra danced in more than 20 pieces, toured with them internationally (e.g. USA, Israel or Germany) and worked with guest choreographers from around the world. Beside her intensive exchange with Tatiana Baganova the choreographers Maura Morales (Cooperativa Maura Morales) and Oleg Stepanov (Tanztheater Wuppertal) were crucial for her today’s artistic thinking. As of 2020 Aleksandra started to work as a choreographer, mainly alongside Baganova. Her first piece for the dancers of "Provincial Dances Theatre" premiered in June 2021 in Yekaterinburg and is today part of the Theatre’s repertoire ("Essence"). Her newest work "Reservoir", a duet about the current circumstances in Russia, has recently been shown at the DanceSoyuz Festival in Kaluga (RUS). Today she works as a freelance dancer and choreographer in Zurich.
