International individual funding

  • SNSF Advanced Grants is for leading researchers who want to conduct innovative, high-risk research in Switzerland. On behalf of the federal government, the SNSF is launching a new call for its transitional measure "SNSF Advanced Grants", aimed at researchers who intended to apply for an ERC Advanced Grant.
  • Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Individual Fellowships promote the professional development of internationally mobile researchers; they can, however, also be used to attract researchers to ZHdK. The European Commiccion has compiled the most important facts and figures relating to the MSCA individual funding programme. 
  • ERC Starting Grants promote outstanding emerging researchers at the beginning of an independent career.
  • Fulbright Scholar Grants are grants for visits to the US. Researchers and lecturers from Swiss universities are given the opportunity to conduct research and teach at American universities.
  • Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for foreign scholars and artists. Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. 
  • Swissuniversities provides an overview of scholarships to study abroad.
