Linda and her mother take a spontaneous trip to their vacation home. When Linda overhears an argument between her mother Gina and her father, her joy disappears despite her vacation. Even a conciliatory conversation between Gina and Linda can't ease their resentment. While strolling, Linda encounters a cat, immediately claims it and ties it to a tree in the forest. After a while, however, the cat loses interest in the adventure, too. Back at the house, Linda joins her mother at the veranda table. Although they talk to each other, the emotional distance seems insurmountable.
