The practical Master's thesis that was submitted in April 2018 aims to demonstrate that making music at a basic level is no luxury, but presents an opportunity for all people – including young people in the asylum system – to evolve their personalities and create a cultural identity. The author will continue to teach at “Welcome to School” on a voluntary basis and use the money to buy instruments for tuition and finance a trip to a concert.
