Tarot cards are laid for the city, telling stories of vacancy, ownership, displacement and community. Between Zurich and Southern Spain, the film combines documentary observations, poetic voice-over and fictional elements into an essayistic reflection on gentrification and alternative forms of living. As both urban and natural spaces become increasingly controlled, images of resistance emerge: mushrooms break through plastic, wolves return to urban spaces, and alternative ways of living resist commodification.
