The Art of Sniper -- a Research,Yannik Böhmer,Yannik Böhmer, Emanuel Hohl

Independent theatre-makers Katharina Schenk, Peter Cant (based in Berlin) and Yannik Böhmer (based in Zurich) formed the Panda Collective together with a group of 10 young Ukrainian actors in Kiev in 2016. The company was formed when they were invited as individuals by the European Theatre Convention (ETC) to take part in a residency for directors from Europe to work with actors associated with the DAKH theatre. The residency took place within the context of the 2016 Gogolfest performance festival in Kiev, under the theme: theatre as dialogue.

Between May and September 2017 the Panda Collective developed a new work in a three-part residency between Germany and Ukraine. An initial week-long exploratory workshop was held in Kiev in the spring. The new material emerging from that workshop was developed in the summer in Germany, in a two-week period taking place at Schloss Freudenberg in Wiesbaden. Public performances were staged at Schloss Freudenberg as the culmination of the two weeks. In September the Collective met in Kiev for a week of rehearsal and presentations at the 2017 Gogolfest.
