Objectives:
The ZHdK Faculty of Music is keen to support students in the MA in Music Pedagogy to encounter new fields of experience, research and activity. A gathering of students and teaching staff in Bangalore is to be organized as part of the Bangalore Startup project, with the objective of exploring options for voluntary service and internships for ZHdK students in India, as well as for the continuing education of Indian colleagues in Zurich.
A memorandum of understanding forms the basis for cooperation in teaching, research and practice, with a particular focus on social inclusion and cultural interdependency. The common objective is to develop appropriate forms of making and experiencing music that are grounded in the relevant cultural contexts.
Summary:
The experiences and outcomes of the project are transferred into the teaching of the MA in Music Pedagogy, and contribute to greater intercultural understanding.
