Kiribati: Musik eines unsichtbaren Volks

"Kiribati: music of an invisible people" is dedicated to a state that will soon no longer exist. A silent invasion is imminent for the country. Kiribati is an archipelago in the middle of the Pacific Ocean that will be swallowed up within the next 50 years due to rising sea levels. Together with the archipelago, the nationality of the people will also be engulfed. Daniel Barnbeck is trying to document the current state of these people in an app. Using sounds collected there by Barnbeck, we will reconstruct the current acoustic environment of Kiribati and create music in the process.
