In the midst of the steep slopes of the Maggia Valley they live. They who have a dream of a different life, a more simple life. Through the years they have rebuilt old empty stables into simple housing. They restored the dry walls and started farming on the terraced land. Like the indigenous Ticinesi used to do. The project 'Pianta Monda' has been active for the last 20 years. 'The simple life' gives an insight into a society that lives in complete polar opposite of today’s wasteful consumer society.
