Contemporary dance is a dynamic and innovative sector of the creative arts, centred on the dancers themselves, and requiring a very high level of knowledge and skill. The approach to contemporary dance followed at ZHdK engages with the academic dance tradition (including classical ballet). The central aim of the training provided is to develop the future dancers' technical skills and artistic sensibility.
