The increasing heat of asphalt, concrete and dense settlement reduces the urban quality of life. The city of Zurich is countering this development with greening, unsealing, and shading. The implementation of these measures is partly at the expense of motorized road space and leads to conflicting goals and delays. The author assumes that a participatory development of green urban spaces would meet with more approval from the electorate, the more tangible and visible the visions of a climate-adapted Zurich would be for the citizens. The work addresses participatively developed solution ideas to the city and answers the question with an application model: How can a sensitization of the citizens of Zurich be achieved so that heat-reducing measures are promoted quickly?
