Sargans Castle houses a regional museum, a restaurant and conference rooms, and hosts a variety of cultural events.
As part of his final project for the CAS Type & Brand course, Franco Wyss set himself the task of creating a distinctive display font with a strong character that would reflect the diversity of the castle's offerings and its essence. The small, multifaceted characteristics of the masonry, especially the window and door openings, were incorporated into the design of the custom typeface. Combined with impressively simple layout principles, the result is a flexible and concise visual system that meets the requirements of a modern cultural institution.
