Dossier Internationales

The novel Dshan by Andrei Platonov is a poetic treatise about how the Soviet Union used its power to deal with its periphery and the Republic of Turkmenistan in particular. The themes of the novel are being represented in a musical theatre installation. With this work, sisters Nina and Xenia Wiener are concluding their respective Master's programmes (“Dramaturgy” at HMT Leipzig and “Composition for Film, Theatre and Media” at ZHdK Zurich) and are presenting this installation in Leipzig, Zurich and their home town of Basel.
