    Project CH+

    Games for Democracy

    Institut für Designforschung (IDE)

Over the recent years, mobile games gained immense popularity. Meanwhile, the political climate around the globe is getting more tense. Democratic institutions are questioned, while (political) individuals grow their following. In Switzerland, democratic participation is around a steady 50% during elections, and between 30-70% during votes. Project CH+ is a participatory project, which aims to use game mechanics, in order to make political self-education more inviting and to motivate political participation.

Through online surveys and testing sessions, people from all political corners have the opportunity to contribute to the concept, which is being developed in an iterative process from election to election. Project CH+ is a research and business project of the “First Ventures” programme of the Gebert Rüf Foundation.
