IN TUNE - to the rhythms of artistic and research practices

A group of artists and researchers from all ZHdK departments have been working on the influence, importance and opportunities of the internet for artistic and research practices since 2013. Since 2015, the group has been addressing the question of rhythms and periodicities in different practices and its relation to cycles of technological environments. Because it is now apparent that the internet can no longer be considered simply as a stable archive but is essentially characterised by types of communication from different periodicities. A major question in the In Tune project is therefore how personal and technological rhythms and periodicities relate to one another and especially which web formats (blogs, Twitter, Facebook, project pages etc.) provide a space for which artistic and research practices.
