«We need a new way of thinking in and about aesthetics because aesthetic theory is not only undergoing institutional reform (many, if not most, positions are already based in arts universities rather than at humanities departments), but its questions and methods are also changing. Like today’s arts, aesthetics is characterised by integrative tendencies, which lead to different forms of the social and to different societal groups and cultures.»
