    Sound in Motion

What happens on an acoustical, musical, and visual level when loudspeakers are set in motion? What artistic possibilities does this open up?

Participants of the one-semester course โ€œSound in Motion โ€“ Composition for and with moving loudspeakersโ€, led by Peter Fรคrber  (ICST) at ZHdK, will work on electroacoustic settings and address the question of a surround sound aesthetic that focuses on the loudspeaker itself. Standard settings as used in contemporary sound reinforcement strategies are not the topic here; rather, we will be focusing on media strategies in which the loudspeaker is seen as an independent instrument.

The website Sound in Motion โ€“ Composing for and with moving Loudspeakers provides in-depth insight into the works created during the course through texts, photos and videos.
