The program CAS / MAS Cultural Media Studies emerged from the MAS Cultural / Gender Studies, which ran from 2008 to 2015. Based on a comprehensive notion of culture, Cultural Media Studies describes how life is shaped by culture and media and which strategies exist for coping with these influences. Cultural Media Studies teaching and research focus lies on images and sounds, intermedia and transcultural processes, and concepts of the subject, body, gender, language, media, places, and cultures.
