Biography
Ivana Balabanova (1992) is a dancer, choreographer, and transdisciplinary artist intertwining urban and contemporary dance. She is the founder of Beatrix Cultural Center, with which she advocates for fair conditions and develops platforms for performing artists in North Macedonia. A ZHdK Excellence Scholarship holder in choreography, she explores movement through strong visuals, spatial dynamics, and experimental approaches. Her research is rooted in exploring topics such as: gender rights, feministic perspectives in patriarchal structures, migration and the burnout society.
