    Biography

    Polish violinist Emilia Jarocka (born in 1998 in Bialystok, Poland) is a winner of numerous national and international competitions, including 1st prize in the VIII Georg Philipp Telemann International Violin Competition (2011), 4th prize in the XIII International Competition for Young Violinists in Honor of Karol Lipinski and Henryk Wieniawski in Lublin (2015), 3rd Prize at the 9th International Chamber Music Competition Johannes Brahms in Gdansk (2022). She has gained a rich experience as a soloist and chamber musician performing in Poland, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Netherlands, Norway and USA.
    At the age of 10 she received a scholarship and a violin from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for outstanding musical achievements. In the years 2009-2011 she performed three recitals in Drรธbak (Norway) with polish pianist Krystyna Makowska - Lawrynowicz during โ€œAd astra unge talenterโ€ and โ€žSommerkonserteneโ€ series of concerts.
    Emilia performed multiple times as a soloist with orchestras in Poland, such as Sinfonia Varsovia, Podlasie Philharmonic Orchestra, Oskar Kolberg Swietokrzyska Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Artur Malawski Podkarpackie Philharmonic, Zenon Brzewski Warsaw String Orchestra. She has been awarded many scholarships, including the โ€œYoung Polandโ€ scholarship organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2014) and โ€œBridge to the futureโ€ (2022) organized by Globalworth Foundation & Julian Cochran Foundation.
    As an academist of Sinfonia Varsovia in 2017/2018 season she took part in concerts in South Korea and Monaco, recordings and concerts in Poland, as well as Musethica project in Berlin.
    As a high-school student she received a full scholarship to participate in the Morningside Music Bridge one-month programme in New England Conservatory in Boston (the USA) where she took lessons from Midori Goto and Noah Bendix-Balgley among others. In 2022 she was given an opportunity to participate in masterclasses with Lisa Batiashvili in Stauffer Center in Cremona. In 2020 and 2022 she took part in open masterclasses โ€œReach the starsโ€ with Bomsori Kim and Julian Rachlin. She participated in many music courses and festivals, such as the Stringtime Niederrhein Goch (Germany), the Zenon Brzewski International Music Courses in Lancut, Ensemble Festival in Ksiaz (Poland) and the KFnrD Music Courses in Luslawice (Poland).
    Currently she is a student of Alexander Sitkovetsky at Zurich University of Arts. In 2020 she graduated with a bachelor's degree from the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where she studied with Andrzej Gebski, Kamila Wasik-Janiak and Agata Szymczewska. In 2017 she graduated from the Zenon Brzewski Music School in Warsaw in class of Andrzej Gebski and Dariusz Smolarski.
    In the 2022/2023 season, she held the position of concertmaster of Jerzy Semkow Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra performing many concerts in Witold Lutoslawski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio and during 27th Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival in the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall.
    She plays an old violin by Johann Georg Schรถnfelder.
