Biography
A prize-winner at over fifteen international competitions across Europe, Anna Pismak has given acclaimed concerto performances with the St.Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, St.Petersburg Philharmonic, Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre and Riga Philharmonic. She is a recipient of the St.Petersburg ‘New Names’ Award, a winner of the ‘Hope of Russia’ Program and represents the St.Petersburg House of Music as a soloist. She has performed on some of the most renowned stages, including the Grand and Small Hall of the St-Petersburg Philharmonia and the New Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, in addition to celebrated performances at Zürich’s Tonhalle Maag (Klangraum) and main stage of a newly reopened Tonhalle.
Currently an artist diploma student in the studio of Sir András Schiff, Anna Pismak graduated with distinction from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (Prof. Tatiana Zagorovskaya) and completed further two Master studies (Konzert and Soloist Diploma) at Zürich University of the Arts (Prof. Eckart Heiligers).
Anna has performed in masterclasses with leading soloists, including Alfred Brendel, Igor Zhukov, Stephen Kovacevich, Gabriel Kwok, Michael Voskresensky, Ricardo Cecchetti, Vincent Coq, Claire Désert, Henri Sigfridsson and Ian Jones. Anna has been invited to record live on Radio Geneva and Swiss Radio in Zürich. Between 2021 and 2023 she did a piano academy at the Philharmonia Zurich (Opernhaus Zürich).
