Biography
During my engineering bachelor's at the University of Tehran, I received a DAAD scholarship and lived in Germany for several months. Out of curiosity, I visited the University of Film and Television Munich, where Wim Wenders studied. There, I met Prof. Peter Zeitlinger, who briefly explained the impact of color and light on narration, sparking my interest in cinematography. In 2018, I completed a practical filmmaking course at the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, learning about editing, sound recording, screenwriting, directing, and cinematography. About two years ago, in 2020, I completed an advanced cinematography course at the Karnameh Institute with renowned Iranian cinematographer Alireza Barazandeh. This experience deepened my understanding of light and confirmed my passion for cinematography. Now, behind the camera, after shooting 30 short films and one feature film, is the most enchanting place in the world for me.
