The Migros-Kulturprozent 's Instrumental Music Competition 2019 took place in Zurich from 25 to 27 November 2019. Luca Staffelbach (percussion - class of Klaus Schwรคrzler, Raphael Christen, Beniamin Forster) was awarded a study prize and included in the Migros Culture Percentage's concert promotion programme.
Further study prizes went to the ZHdK music students Clรฉment Guignard (horn - class Radovan Vlatkovic), Cรฉdric Gyger (percussion - class Klaus Schwรคrzler, Raphael Christen, Beniamin Forster) and Hong Yiu Thomas Lai (double bass - class Duncan McTier). All four convinced the jury and won prize money of CHF 14,400 each. A total of 12 young musicians were honoured. As part of the international competition, the Migros Culture Percentage supports outstanding talents in their transition from training to the stage.
