Luca Beeler (curator) and  Miriam Laura Leonardi (visual artist), two alumni of the Department of Fine Arts, are part of a collective that will be representing Switzerland at the Venice Biennale in 2026.

Together with Gianmaria Andreetta (curator of the ZHdK MA Fine Arts Diploma Exhibition 2022), Nina Wakeford (guest at our Art Talks in 2024), Lithic Alliance and Yul Tomatala, they form the collective nominated for the Swiss Pavilion at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia.

In their project “The Unfinished Business of Living Together”, they explore contemporary forms of coexistence, conditions and possibilities of tolerance and belonging as well as forms of social division.

For the first time, the Swiss contribution to the Biennale was chosen in an open competition. 140 projects were submitted.
