Charlotte Laubard, curator of the Swiss Pavilion at the 58th Venice Biennale 2019, will develop the exhibition in the pavilion together with the artist duo Pauline Boudry / Renate Lorenz. Pauline Boudry is a lecturer in moving image at the Department of Art & Media.

Charlotte Laubard on her collaboration with Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz: “Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz question gender-specific patterns and take an examining look at the norms that determine our representations and our social life. The particular strength of their work lies in the fact that they are not limited to expressing criticism or deconstructing. Rather, her installations, films and performances are designed to show other kinds of existence in the world that are not divided by categorizations and identitary binarisms”.

The 58th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale die Venezia will take place from 11 May to 24 November 2019 at various locations in Venice. The main exhibition is curated by Ralph Rugoff.
