As part of the ยซStudent Design Agencyยป minor, an interdisciplinary team of ZHdK students successfully brought their concept for the Swiss Overshoot Day to life.

On May 7th 2025, Switzerland has used up all its natural ressources for the year - after just 127 days. Together with Greenpeace Schweiz, students from the Department of Design gave the country a receipt for its overconsumption: a 71-metre-long installation with 127 questions designed to provoke reflection and inspire future-oriented solutions. The work was designed by Lorena Gamper, Jakob Galler and Finn Stillhart. A printer programmed by Luca Zeller printed compact versions of the receipt โ€“ as a takeaway for food for thought.

After the performance, the receipt โ€“ printed on recycled Blueback paper โ€“ was screen-printed, cut into 56 posters, and sent to the winners of the giveaway. As a symbolic reminder, each of the seven Swiss Federal Councillors will also receive a poster.

Huge thanks to Greenpeace and to all involved students of the "Student Design Agency" minor for the inspiring collaboration!
