Composer-performer (viola & voice), improviser, visual artist and media artist Charlotte Hug Raschèr has been awarded the Swiss Music Prize 2025. The jury honours her as a researcher in the interstices of the arts. Particular mention is made of her ‘Son-Icons’ – scenic settings with moving, immersive spatial scores – and her performances in unusual locations.
At ZHdK, Charlotte Hug Raschèr heads the CAS Creation & Scenario in Music and the individual music module Focusing on Creation.
The Swiss Music Prizes are awarded annually by the Federal Office of Culture (BAK). They recognise outstanding and innovative Swiss musical creativity.
