From autumn semester 2024, Linley Marthe will be teaching jazz and pop E-Bass at ZHdK.

โ€œThe phenomenal Linley Martheโ€ (Joe Zawinul) embarks on a musical journey that transcends borders and genres. Martheโ€™s cultural heritage serves as a rich tapestry that weaves groove music and the multi-layered rhythms of jazz with the melodies of Africa and the complex compositions of India.
Since 2003, Linley Marthe has been a permanent member of the Joe Zawinul Syndicate, where he has captivated a global audience with his unique performances.
Of particular note is the Grammy Award he received for the Zawinul Syndicateโ€™s 75th Birthday Tour in 2007. Shortly before his death, Joe Zawinul appointed Linley Marthe as the future leader of the โ€œSyndicateโ€. Since then, Linley Marthe has been travelling around the globe with the most renowned jazz and world artists.
