    ZHdK alumnus Gabriel Grosclaude wins the "Best Swiss Newcomer Award" at the Locarno Film Festival with his graduation film "Lux Carne".

    Gabriel Grosclaude wins in the "Pardi di domani" section. The prize is endowed with a total of 27,000 Swiss francs. The short film also receives a "special mention" from the Junior Jury, a jury made up of young film fans.
    In the "Pardi di domani" competition, short films will be shown in world and international premieres. The section gives an insight into what the cinema of the future could look like.

    A strict inspection procedure regulates the population's meat consumption: if you want to eat meat, you have to kill an animal. Young reporter Elie sets out to document the process at the slaughterhouse. But only those who take part get in. Elie has to face the killing. When she comes face to face with the animal, her convictions are put to the test.
