Together with the great artist Georgette Dee, the students will work on a song evening of a special kind in the coming spring semester.
My song from your song" - An evening with songs and stories. The aim of this workshop is to create a short artistic contribution in the truest sense of the word, in the form of a story, a truth, a lie, a declaration of love........ The students choose two songs, which they would like to interpret vocally.
Within the course, techniques and means will be examined to arrive at a personal artistic performance. Courage, impertinence, lies and truthfulness in search and expression are the means that the young artist personalities learn to use to turn this search movement into a show, an event.
"Georgette Dee is the perfect diva - divine. When she [...] enters the stage and sings her Brechts and Weills, her Brels and Eislers, her Hollรคnders and her own songs, she shivers down her spine. Screaming, cooing, whispering, howling, raging and sighing, she fights her way through her songs. A chanteuse who reminds of Marlene Dietrich, Judy Garland, Zarah Leander, Hildegard Knef or her great role model Nina Simone - and yet is always Georgette. Berlijnse Brutaliteit', 'Mystery of the German Chanson', 'Angel on the wrong track', 'Queen of the Diseuses'." (Quote Kรผnstleragentur Charis about Georgette Dee)
