From Concept to Realization: What emerged as a concept within the collaborative project between the Swiss Children's Hospice Foundation and ZHdK two years ago is now being successfully implemented.

In an interdisciplinary team, bachelor students from Trends & Identity, Visual Communication, and Interaction Design developed the visual identity for the new Flamingo Children's Hospice. Using graphic animal illustrations, an accessible visual language was created for both the affected children and their families. Flamingo, Butterfly, and other animals serve as communication figures in and for the hospice, symbolizing unity, mutual support, and relief.

In addition to redesigning the visual identity, other communication measures have been completed over the past two years, including a new website, various print products featuring photographs by Seraina Semmelroggen, and giveaways. Further steps such as the social media concept and signage within the facility are part of ongoing collaboration.
