The documentary film “Zehn Jahre” by Matthias von Gunten will be shown in cinemas from 7 March 2024. For ten years, the director observed how four young people – including ZHdK alumnus Victor Aviat – pursue their careers.

Four young people searching for their place in life: Pascal (17) wants to become a baker and take over his parents’ bakery business, Lucia (29) wants to become a psychiatrist, Victor (28) a classical orchestra conductor and Hanna (19) has dreamed of becoming a teacher since childhood. Over the course of ten years, the director observes how the protagonists pursue their dreams between success and failure, how they mature as individuals and increasingly find their purpose. The result is an intimate view that reveals their innermost feelings, fears and changes.

Victor Aviat graduated from ZHdK in 2004 with an orchestral diploma in oboe and completed a Master’s degree in Music Performance, Orchestral Conducting in 2011.
