"Urban Waters": Experience Water Differently Through Art Installations and Performances
In February 2025, the Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen in Zurich transformed into a unique space for interaction, experience, and reflection. The spotlight was on water—as an element and a natural resource. In the middle of winter, this event offered a special opportunity to experience the interplay of art, nature, and culture in an urban setting.
The park area featuring art installations was open daily from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM and was freely accessible. All events and offerings were free of charge. On weekends (Friday through Sunday), a diverse program included performances, concerts, workshops, and other activities. All contributions—from the art installations to the events—were created by members of the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
"Urban Waters" is supported by the Canton of Zurich as part of the #hallowasser project. www.hallowasser.ch.
