International Day

The ZHdK International Day offers the opportunity to present international works by ZHdK students and lecturers and to get familiar with international art projects, initiatives, collaborations, careers and support opportunities. Furthermore, internal and external experts are invited to discuss and reflect on the ZHdK's international strategy.

ZHdK International Day 2025 | 03 April 2025

We were delighted to have Professor David Wengrow, archaeologist and co-author of the international bestseller The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity for this year’s event. In conversation with Anselm Franke, Professor of Curatorial Studies (ZHdK), and Judith Siegmund, Professor of Philosophical Aesthetics (ZHdK), Wengrow discussed how to escape from the contemporary traps of our political imaginary and ‘to change the course of human history- at least the part that has already happened’. A contribution by artist and video essayist Ursula Biemann, as well as targeted questions from Curatorial Studies students complemented the discussion.
