More: PEERS

Content of the programme

  • Mentoring: PEERS participants are guided by two mentors, chosen from ZHdK’s pool of mentors and beyond.
  • Training: Four intensive multi-day workshops on artistic research methods, application strategies for PhD programs, and presentation skills are offered, as well as a one-week summer residency. The fellows’ travel expenses to Zurich and their accommodation costs are covered.
  • Junior Research Group (JRG): together with the PhD candidates, PEERS fellows are part of the JRG, which gathers twice per semester in a hybrid set-up.
  • International exchange: The PEERS program collaborates with 3rd Cycle predoctoral programs at Amsterdam University of the Arts and UdK Berlin, as well as with partner institutions on a doctoral level (e.g. Kunstuniversität Graz, University of the Arts Stockholm). Exchange is fostered by joint events throughout the year.
  • Individual development: PEERS fellows are each awarded a personal production budget that can be used to cover research trips, books, conference or festival participation, as well as other activities and measures serving to develop one’s research plan.
