    Offer

    • Programme services for participants

      • Support for the dissertation project from a qualified team of supervisors.
      • Implementation of an individual doctoral project in a community of practitioners consisting of seven to twelve PhD students, their supervisors and the Head of Programme.
      • Connection to a dynamically developing network for subject-specific didactic research in Art Education/Design Education in the German-speaking region.
      • Contribution to costs arising from participating in the programme and working on the individual research project.
      • Offer of a teaching position at one of the four partner universities to gain teaching experience at university level and/or try out, discuss and further develop their own research project with students.
      • Admission to the artistic-scientific PhD School of ZHdK and connection to the other research activities in the third cycle at ZHdK.
      • Access to a range of subject-specific and overarching concomitant offers within the scope of the PhD Centre of ZHdK and the Methodological Schools of the PHZH.

      Please note: Participation in the PhD programme does not include any financing of the doctorate in the form of a scholarship or a position at ZHdK.

    • Working formats in the PhD group

      The PhD programme consists of a variety of exchange formats in which students can discuss and further develop their individual doctoral projects together in a working atmosphere that is respectful, cooperative and appreciative of the respective approaches.

      • At the biannual colloquia, two PhD students take it in turns to present their research projects and discuss them in front of other students as well as supervisors and guests.
      • Regular research workshops provide students with an opportunity to undertake work on their PhD projects with each other. They are tailored to the needs of the PhD students.
      • Further exchange formats can be implemented on campus in Zurich or remotely if necessary and possible.
