Professional development training course for people with leadership responsibilities
Digital transformation changes not only how we work, but also how we collaborate – and, therefore, how we define leadership tasks and competencies. What makes for conscious and competent leadership in the digital age?
This was the question that led representatives from the Digital Skills & Spaces programme, the internal training unit and the staff council to develop the training programme "Digital Confidence", which is currently running for a second time. In seven input events, all of which can also be attended individually, the participants expand their skillset on various aspects of digital working, reflect on the tried and tested, try out new approaches and exchange ideas with their peers.
Hosted by the project team and run by internal and external experts, the current workshop series includes the following topics:
- Zoom in & out! Remote leadership. Leading at a distance requires trust and an agile mindset. There are also methods and hacks that can be used to improve remote leadership.
- How? What!: From content to form. How can we make sense of the wealth of information, prepare it and convey it in an appealing way? "How?" means the form of communication here; "What!" means the presentation technique.
- OnBoarding! Understanding and digitally managing finances. An overview of the finance processes at ZHdK clarifies the framework and shows how to manage your finances digitally with just a few clicks in the BOARD application.
- DAZ it! Digital Working at ZHdK (DAZ). How can digital collaboration in a team be promoted, cultivated and made agile? And what tools does ZHdK provide for this?
- Always digital? Using resources consciously. How can we counterbalance the overwhelming presence of the digital? Together we will discuss how we can best use our personal resources in the flood of digital information.
- Decision-making in digital times: Imagination, risk-taking and networking. How can Strategic Design methods be used successfully in everyday management?
- Reflection and networking event with the Digital Confidence Team. At the end of the workshop series, we take a look back – and into the future.
The training course is adapted to a different target audience every year. In its 2022 iteration, the course was aimed specifically at secretarial staff, with the content modified accordingly.
