    The “CAS Sound Engineering” builds on an assessment. The specific target skills are based on the individual skills of the students upon admission to the course, and can include the following study goals:

    • Introduction to various production procedures
    • Development of a sound aesthetic and mastery of the resources for and methods of implementing this. 
    • Optionally: consolidation of students’ knowledge in studio technology, psychology of recording, media studies, acoustics, psychoacoustics, electronics and digital audio technology, IT, mathematics, or musical scores

    The focus is on discussing independently produced recordings before and after they are made.

    Qualification

    The programme is completed with a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). The certificate confirms that the holder participated in the CAS, and describes the subjects and courses attended.
    The certificate describes the work performed (classroom teaching and self-study) and confirms successful participation in the course. No grade is given.

    The certificate includes a written reflection on the individual learning objectives formulated at the beginning of the course and the learning process that has taken place. This is submitted to the core subject lecturer and the administration office at the end of the academic year.
