Costs

Application fee 

First-time applicants must pay a one-off registration fee and an admission fee of CHF 200.–. 

Tuition fee 

The tuition fee is CHF 6900.– per academic year (payable on a semester basis). 

A semester invoice of CHF 3450.– is issued in May and December; payment in instalments is possible.
Payments or first instalments must be made before start of studies. Students who do not pay will be excluded from the programme.  

    Dates for registration procedure

    Application deadline
    15 October (written application with covering letter)

    Admission interview/assessment
    Ongoing from January 2025 to October 2026
    Interview with the Head of Programme and Head of Continuing Education Music to clarify the student’s motivations and course structure

    Written confirmation of admission
    By the end of November
    Final decision from ZHdK on admission and allocation of the study place

      Information event

      Information events are held on a regular basis.

      For individual questions or if you are unable to attend the information event, please do not hesitate to contact the Head of Programme, Charlotte Hug, by e-mail. You can schedule a telephone advisory session as well.

        Online application

        Applications for the CAS Creation & Scenario in Music programme are processed directly through ZHdK’s online tool (ONLA). You can find more information on how to use ONLA below.

          You may interrupt your application at any time and continue at a later stage. Any information entered will be stored.
          Compulsory fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
          When you have entered all the necessary details, press “Complete entry” to submit your application. Upon receipt, your details will be checked by our office. You will not be able to change any details once submitted.
          You will receive an e-mail with details about the next steps (see Dates). If you do not receive a message, please check your spam folder.

        • Login with ZHdK-Login or SWITCH edu-ID

          If you have a ZHdK login, you may apply with your ZHdK login.
          If you have no ZHdK login, you will need a SWITCH edu-ID.

        • Required documents

          Curriculum Vitae
          A brief and clear list of your education and professional career history.

          Covering letter
          Set out your reason for applying for the continuing education degree programme on a maximum of one side of A4. If you do not have a university degree, please describe your professional experience up to this point and why you are applying for your chosen continuing education degree programme (maximum of two sides of A4).

          Photo of yourself in JPG format
          Upload a recent photo in passport photo quality (at least 320 x 400 pixels). The photo must be high-contrast and your face must be clearly visible. It may not feature other people or objects.

          Social security number
          If you live or work in Switzerland, you will find your Swiss social security number (756…) on your OASI card or on your Swiss health insurance card.
