Eligibility and admission requirements

The course is aimed at professional musicians, in particular experienced instrumental or singing teachers.

The requirements for admission to the programme are as follows:

  • Successful completion of a university degree in music or an equivalent qualification 
  • Previous professional experience
  • Positive outcome to the admission interview/assessment 

Special admission (“sur dossier”) is also possible in justified cases. The Head of Programme and the Head of Continuing Education Music decide on admission.

Transfers and admissions

  • Transfering into a higher level CAS

    In order to transfer into a higher level CAS, the final examination of the preceding CAS must have been passed and the suitability confirmed in an admission interview. A passed final CAS exam does not automatically entitle the student to continue studies.

  • Admission to the DAS module

    Admission to the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Music Physiology requires successful completion of the three courses “CAS Music Physiology Basic,” “CAS Music Physiology Intermediate,” and “CAS Music Physiology Advanced.”
    Admission to the DAS module is granted by the Academic Director and the Director of Continuing Education in Music and involves a corresponding review of the application and supporting documents.

  • Admission to the MAS module

    Admission to the Master of Advanced Studies in Music Physiology requires the successful completion of the three courses “CAS Music Physiology Basic,” “CAS Music Physiology Intermediate,” and “CAS Music Physiology Advanced,” as well as the DAS module.
    Admission to the MAS module is granted by the program director and the director of continuing education in music and involves a corresponding review of the application and supporting documents.
