    Costs

    Application fee
    First-time applicants must pay a one-off registration fee and an admission fee of CHF 200.

    Tuition fee
    Payments or first instalments must be made before the start of the semester. Students who do not pay will be excluded from the programme.
    Two semester invoices will be issued, one in July and one in January.
    Payment in instalments is possible. The first instalment of the payment must be made before the start of the semester. Outstanding payments will result in exclusion from the programme.

    CAS Music Physiology intermediate
    CHF 6,600 per academic year

    CAS Music Physiology advanced
    CHF 6,800 per academic year

    MAS degree
    CHF 2,600 (including mentoring, examination and expert fees)

      Admissions procedure deadlines

      Registration deadline
      March 31

      Admission interview and assessment
      Until end of April

      • Discussion with the Music Physiology core team and head of Continuing Education Music to clarify motivation and organization
      • Audition and discussion with the desired lecturer

      Written confirmation of admission
      Until end of May
      Final decision of the ZHdK on admission and allocation of the study place by mid-July at the latest.

      • Transfering into a higher level CAS

        In order to transfer into a higher level CAS, the final examination of the preceding CAS module must have been passed and the suitability confirmed in an admission interview. A passed final module exam does not automatically entitle the student to continue studies.

      • Dates MAS module registration procedure

        The MAS degree is available twice a year.

        Application deadline
        For the autumn semester: 31 May (of the same year)
        For the spring semester: 30 November (of the previous year)

        •     Letter of motivation in relation to the MAS degree
        •     Proposed topic for the MAS degree project
        •     Description of the content and concept of the intended written MAS degree dissertation

        Assessment of the current situation / discussion of the next steps
        For the autumn semester: mid-June
        For the spring semester: mid-January

        Written MAS agreement
        For the autumn semester: end of June
        For the spring semester: end of January

      Applications for this course are processed through ZHdKโ€™s online tool (ONLA).

        If you already have a ZHdK login, you can sign in with your normal access data. Those without a ZHdK login require a SWITCH edu-ID in order to apply online.

        Curriculum Vitae
        A brief and clear list of your education and professional career history.

        Covering letter
        Set out your reason for applying for the continuing education degree programme on a maximum of one side of A4. If you do not have a university degree, please describe your professional experience up to this point and why you are applying for your chosen continuing education degree programme (maximum of two sides of A4).

        Photo of yourself in JPG format
        Upload a recent photo in passport photo quality (at least 320 x 400 pixels). The photo must be high-contrast and your face must be clearly visible. It may not feature other people or objects.

        Social security number
        If you live or work in Switzerland, you will find your Swiss social security number (756โ€ฆ) on your OASI card or on your Swiss health insurance card.
