    The CAS Design Leadership is divided into a total of seven workshop modules, each of which takes place from Thursday to Saturday, from 9 am to 4.30 pm (subject to change). Exception is module 3, which takes place offsite. An overview of speakers and guest lecturers for this CAS can be found here.

    Module 1

    Set the Scene

    Class of 2025: Thursโ€“Sat, 27.2.โ€“1.3.2025
    Class of 2026: Thursโ€“Sat, 26.2.โ€“28.2.2026

    Immersion in trends of modern working environments in the context of digital and social change in recent years. Teaching basic principles of leadership and design. Presentation of frameworks and first own positioning in them.

    Module 2

    Context & Cultures

    Class of 2025: Thursโ€“Sat, 20โ€“22.3.2025
    Class of 2026: Thursโ€“Sat, 19โ€“21.3.2026

    Insight into different organisational cultures and prototypical testing of design-oriented interventions. Understanding how trends emerge and developing one's own "future literacy". To learn central approaches and tools of agile business development that respond to complex societal trends.

    Module 3 โ€“ Offsite

    Self Leadership

    Class of 2025: Thursโ€“Sat, 10โ€“12.4.2025, with overnight stay (subject to change)
    Class of 2026: Thursโ€“Sat, 9.โ€“11.4.2026, with overnight stay (subject to change)

    Identification of key leadership challenges and recognition of own strengths, weaknesses and blind spots. Developing awareness of one's own values and principles and individual resources (resilience).

    Module 4

    Acting strategically & enabling innovation

    Class of 2025: Thursโ€“Sat, 8.โ€“10.5.2025
    Class of 2026: Thursโ€“Sat, 7.โ€“9.5.2026

    Learning about success factors in strategy development and analysis of drivers for innovation (e.g. pandemic). Raising awareness of measures that promote and prevent innovation, as well as acquiring new approaches to business and organisational development and their leadership challenges.

    Module 5

    Collaboration & Decisionmaking

    Class of 2025: Thursโ€“Sat, 22.โ€“24.5.2025
    Class of 2026: Thursโ€“Sat, 20.โ€“22.5.2026

    Getting to know the basics for sustainable cooperation such as trust, resilience and neuroscience. Evaluating different team constellations and co-creative processes. Learning to set diversity-promoting frameworks and to moderate decision-making processes.

    Module 6

    Leadership Signature & Storytelling

    Class of 2025: Due to Whitsun: Wed, 4.6.2025, 4.30โ€“7.30 PM (via Zoom), and Thu/Fri, 5./6.6.2025

    Becoming aware of and developing one's own leadership position and communicating personal competences and achievements (personal branding & storytelling). Testing one's own leadership qualities on the basis of concrete project challenges. Focus on the ability to reflect and position one's own strengths and values.

    Module 7

    Leadership Special

    Class of 2026: Thursโ€“Sat, 2โ€“4.7.2026

    Specials on self-leadership, leadership in times of crisis and performance skills. Deepening your own experience with selected leadership experts.
