More: CAS Editorial Advanced

Eligibility and admission requirements

Target audience

The CAS Editorial Advanced is aimed at designers, type designers, and media and art professionals who already work with typography, images and layout and who want to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of editorial design. It is also aimed at designers who are already working in the field of classic, analogue editorial design and who want to get to know and try out the potential of digital publications and their conception and integrate them into their professional practice.

Participants will be introduced to new fields of activity that are not limited to analogue or digital applications, but combine them to create contemporary and future-oriented visual storytelling using sophisticated editorial design.

Admission requirements

The following are required: a nationally recognised degree from a University of Applied Sciences, university or a technical university, three years of professional experience in a related design discipline, and basic knowledge of typography and layout. Career changers from related fields such as marketing, industrial design, architecture, scenography, journalism, art, etc. are recommended to attend the CAS Fundamentals of Typography first. This continuing education programme teaches the basics required for the CAS Editorial Advanced. Applicants without an adequate degree can be admitted if they can provide detailed proof of their education, continuing education and professional experience and if the equivalency check is positive.

Applicants submit a covering letter as well as a detailed portfolio (dossier with work samples).
