Programme details

Entry into the CAS Arts & Design is possible twice a year (February and September) at the beginning of the Summer and Winter School.

Course dates

Two set ten-day course blocks are organised each year, the Winter School (calendar weeks 5/6) and the Summer School (calendar weeks 35/36). Generally, you will attend 1–2 modules (further education courses) per school, with each course comprising 20 contact lessons spread over 2–4 days. If you would also like to attend modules in the area of extended music education, the course dates can be spread out over the year.

You will also have individually arranged mentoring sessions and phases of self-study.

The final presentations take place twice a year; the current dates will be announced to the graduating students in good time.

Duration and scope

The CAS Arts & Design in Practice takes two to three semesters and comprises a workload of approx. 375–450 hours (15 ECTS credits). This is made up of contact study in group courses and individual mentoring on the one hand, and self-study and practice transfer on the other.
