The Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) approval process
By going through the approval process of the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK), ZHdK ensures that its Upper Secondary School Teaching Diploma Secondary Level II meets the statutory requirements and is thus recognised all over Switzerland.
Degree Programme Evaluation
ZHdK regularly evaluates its degree programmes based on defined quality criteria. This ensures that the content remains current and relevant, and that students benefit from a supportive learning environment. Every seven years, each degree programme undergoes a more in-depth evaluation. In this process, information is collected, assessed, and used to further develop the programme. At the same time, the evaluation serves to ensure accountability and to support well-informed decision-making.
External peer review
This procedure is a development-focused review undertaken by independent external agencies, which examine study and learning/teaching as well as research according to internal and external quality standards. Every department carries out a review every seven years.
