Within the scope of a Ph.D. co-operation agreement between the University of the Arts Zurich/Department of Art & Media and the University of Arts and Design Linz (Austria) you can get a Ph.D. degree from University of the Arts Linz with focus on Art Research or with focus on Media/Culture Studies or Theory with Prof. Giaco Schiesser. Prof. Giaco Schiesser is permanent visiting professor for artistic and academic Ph.D.s at the University of the Arts, Linz.
We welcome individual or groups applications. Doctoral work may be undertaken in either German or English. Applications and supervision are by personal agreement.

Doctoral Studies Programme in Cooperation with the University of Applied Art, Vienna
Offered by the Institute of Art Education (IAE) at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
Research questions in the art education doctoral programme focus on the manifold intersections between art and education in either formal or informal educational settings. PhD projects encompass and connect various different methods, ranging from more empirical studies through artistic research to theoretical endeavours. Project requirements are set out in the Institute of Art Education’s operation principles. The programme language is German.
